We had reported that Gnanvel Raja has fired on Vadivelu saying that he reportedly didn't join the sets of Imsai Arasan 24am Pulikecei.
We are aware that Imsai Arasan 24am Pulikecei is being produced by Director Shankar and he filed complaint against Vadivelu at Tamil Film Producers Council.
As per the source the complaint was as below :-
Vadivelu had committed to the film about a year ago. He was narrated the story twice before he agreed to come on board, but the shoot had to be pushed because of his other commitments. The first reason for the friction was when he suddenly demanded that his fee be raised. This was sorted out, but then he wanted a portion of a song's tune to be changed, even though he had approved of it initially. Next, he started refusing to work with supporting actors that the team had in mind, and rejected close to 25 names. But the last straw that led to the team losing its patience was his insistence on wanting to make his personal costumer the costume designer for the entire film. The team had initially agreed to this demand, but a few days later, they realised that this costumer was not working out well for the vision that the director had in mind. So, they suggested to Vadivelu that the costumer could design the actor's clothes alone, while another costume designer could be brought in for the rest of the cast.
However, the costumer was against this, saying that he will work on the film only if he is allowed to design the costumes for everyone. He even went ahead and filed a complaint with the costumers union, and the team paid him `10 lakh as compensation. Finally, the shoot started with another costume designer brought on board, but after six days, Vadivelu stopped it again saying that he wanted his own costumer as he feels comfortable only with him. But this time, the team decided not to indulge his whims, and Shankar was left with no option but to file a complaint with the TFPC.
An exterior and an interior set were built at a theme park on the outskirts of the city, but during the recent rains, the exterior set, which cost `50 lakh was destroyed completely. Similarly, they have also put up a set in a palatial building near Parry's Corner. Since August, the team has shot only for 10 days, so for the rest of the days, the team has been paying rent for these sets without any shoot happening on them, leading to unnecessary loss for the producer. Meanwhile, even though he has shot only for 10 days, and has to shoot for 70 more days, Vadivelu has been paid up to almost 70 per cent of his salary.
